Showing CashIn Computer on your site
CashIn Computer’s cards are free for any site, app, blog, newsletter, community or business. We want people to find good reading, and we want your pages livelier. In return, a few simple rules.
What you can do, free
- Show CashIn Computer’s cards, lists, tickers, text links, video and picture links anywhere on your pages, in any size we offer, as many as you like.
- Paste any piece’s picture link from the gallery into a page, an email or a newsletter.
- Use the JSON feed and the RSS feed to show headlines your own way.
- Pick which sections you want, how pieces are chosen (matched to your page, freshest, trending, most read) and a light, dark or automatic theme, on your private page.
What we ask
- Show it as it comes. Don’t edit headlines or teasers, cover or hide the CashIn Computer mark, or make a card look like your own writing.
- Link to the piece. Every card links to the full piece on CashIn Computer. If you use the JSON or RSS feed, show the headline with that link and credit “via CashIn Computer”. Don’t copy a piece’s full text onto your site.
- No fake clicks. Don’t click your own cards, ask people to click them, or send automated traffic. We don’t count it, and sites that try are removed.
- Not on these pages: adult content; hate, harassment or violence; anything illegal; malware, phishing or deceptive pages; pages that pretend to be someone they’re not.
Why it’s free, and what it isn’t
Nobody pays to be in a card, and you don’t pay to show one. It isn’t public domain: the pieces belong to CashIn Computer (and quote CashIn’s newsrooms), so the license is to display them through our embeds and feeds, with the link back, not to republish them. The cards carry no ads.
Privacy
The embed sets no cookies. To avoid showing a visitor the same piece twice, it keeps one random ID in your site’s own browser storage, and skips even that when the browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. It reads your page’s title, description and headings (and the visitor’s search, if your page shares it) to pick matching pieces. It never reads forms or anything a visitor types. A piece counts as seen when half of it is on screen for a second; clicks go through a counter to the piece. See our privacy page.
If something goes wrong
We can switch off cards on any site that breaks these rules, and you can remove the code anytime. Questions: computer@cashinnews.com.
