Disney World's 2027 projects shown in CEO's construction-site photos

Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro shared construction photographs on Instagram on Oct. 20, giving fans a rare look at several Walt Disney World projects due in 2027, according to Disney Fanatic. The outlet said the images reveal major progress at the sites. Disney Dining, AllEars.Net, Inside the Magic and Disney Fanatic also reported on the photos, and CashIn Adventure took no details from those headline-only reports.

Fantasy Land News reported that D'Amaro toured the Monstropolis site at Hollywood Studios, Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom and Lakeshore Lodge on Bay Lake with Imagineering, Disney's design and construction group. In his Instagram post, it said, he described "an incredible energy" at Walt Disney World right now.

Monstropolis at Disney's Hollywood Studios. WDW News Today reported that Monstropolis will open in phases, with most of the land in 2027 and the coaster at a later date. Fantasy Land News listed the first-phase offerings as the Welcome to Monstropolis show at the Glob Theater, Harryhausen's and Archie's Scare Pig Pizza, the Monsters University Alumni Club and the Scareporium shop. It said the suspended door coaster comes later. None of the sources gave a date for the coaster.

Tropical Americas at Disney's Animal Kingdom. MickeyVisit reported that Tropical Americas will open in 2027. WDW News Today said the photos include the multi-colored Mayan temple for the new attraction Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, placed in front of the former DINOSAUR building. WDW News Today said the attraction is set to open in 2027.

Disney's Lakeshore Lodge. MickeyVisit reported that the resort, located along Bay Lake across from Magic Kingdom, will open on July 1, 2027. It said the resort will offer rooms, suites and lake houses.
