Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are engaged

Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are engaged, and the exes of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes just made it official in public.

Shue confirmed the news to People on Wednesday, according to Yahoo's write-up of the interview. He told the magazine the couple got engaged in the spring after dating for about three years.

"I don't know how it happened, but there's a happy ending," the Melrose Place alum said, per Yahoo's report on the People interview. He added that he and Fiebig are "very grateful and hopeful."

The backstory

Perez Hilton reports Shue, 59, and Fiebig, 49, started seeing each other in the summer of 2023. Fiebig is an immigration attorney. Shue is a civic engagement advocate. Per Yahoo, the engagement followed his January launch of The Forum, a nonprofit he describes as a virtual town hall.

If the pairing sounds familiar, it's because of who they used to be married to. Shue was married to Robach, and Fiebig was married to Holmes. Per Perez Hilton's recap, the two GMA3 co-anchors were pulled from the show in late 2022 after photos of them together surfaced. Perez Hilton also reports both later said they were separated from their spouses when their romance began.

Robach and Holmes married in a private ceremony in Arkansas, NewsNation reports. That was more than a month before Shue and Fiebig's announcement.
